Till this day, George Washington is still known as the father of the United States. This is because history proves that his entire adult life was spent tending the country.
When Washington became a teenager, he quit school. He began to take the journey of a surveyor, particularly in Virginia and the surrounding areas. He was mostly alone when on this mission, and he made much progress fast.
A short while after this, Washington was a soldier during the French wars. Everyone hailed him as a chief soldier because he would not hesitate to put his life on the line for anyone.
George Washington was married not long after his time as a soldier. He married a woman named Martha, who came from a very rich family. This displayed the fact that Washington had both heart and class.
Though married, Washington continued to fight for the country. He traveled with the soldiers through numerous wars and bad weather. Most of this took place around the area we know today as New York and New Jersey.
After proving himself to the highest degree, George Washington was elected president of the United States. To this day he is the only president to get every electoral vote in his favor.
There has never been a president that has done so much for the United States. Moreover, there has never been a president who devoted every minute to the country even before being president. In most places, he is considered more than a legend and more than just a president.
